Storage Technologies and Cookies

Rules for cookies may also cover similar technologies such as localStorage. This page lists the browser storage currently used by the RD application.

NameTypePurposeCategory
ruindorm:consent:v1localStorageSaves the consent version, time, and choices.Necessary
ruindorm:preferences:v4localStorageAfter permission, saves My List, the last viewed transmission, interface language, resident profile, playback choices, and desktop-effect choices. Existing v1/v2/v3 preferences are migrated and removed.Preferences / optional
ruindorm:unlock:v1localStorageSaves the decryption key derived from an unlock phrase entered for Exclusive content, so this device does not need to re-enter it on later visits. Functions like a login credential rather than a tracking preference.Necessary / functional

Video and services

The official Mux Player is used for public video delivery with Mux Data tracking and Mux Player cookies disabled. The application does not currently enable analytics or marketing cookies. Depending on actual configuration, Cloudflare security or traffic services may use necessary cookies in specific situations such as challenges or bot protection; these are not created by the application code.

Exclusive unlock

Unlocking Exclusive content stores a decryption key in this browser so the same device stays unlocked on later visits. This storage is treated as necessary to the paid access you have already unlocked, not as an optional preference, so withdrawing preference consent does not clear it. Use "Relock this device" in Settings (desktop) or the About panel (mobile) to remove it manually.

Change your choice

Use Cookie Settings in the desktop legal footer or the mobile About panel. Rejecting or withdrawing preference storage clears current and legacy RuinDorm preference records; core browsing remains available and the site remains in its permanent Night presentation.
